I am married to Jenny Boyack. 
Together we have seven children and four grandchildren.

I came to Palmerston North in 1976, teaching at both West End and Central Normal Schools. I then worked with youth and adults at All Saints Anglican Church for five years. 

In 1986 I founded Team Consultants Ltd, a company that worked nationally with businesses, Government Departments and councils to enhance their performance. In 2004 TEAM joined with an Auckland company to form Nexus Partners Ltd. I hold qualifications in both education and business.

In 2004 I was elected Deputy Mayor of Palmerston North.

As a Palmerston North City Council Councillor I bring to Council:
